Partners & Sponsors

Pouches Kangaroo Sanctuary & Wildlife Rescue Limited is currently sustained almost entirely by personal funding from our founding family, with a small amount of public donations each year and a small number of generous in-kind product sponsors in previous years.

Partners and sponsors are invited to help transition Pouchie.z from a self-funded grassrooots sanctuary into a resiliant, community-backed survice for South Australia's wildlife--strengthening 24/7 rescue capacity, specialist macropod care, habitat, restoration and education programs.

The specialist businesses who make Pouchie.z work possible

A Shared Vision For Conversation:

We extend our deepest gratitude to individuals, families, businesses, and organisations who support us through donations, in-kind gifts, volunteer time, and expertise. Your contributions directly save joeys, fill statewide service gaps, and restore native habitat on our 87-acre property. From our three in-kind sponsors to hotline callers and conservation advocates—you're enabling Pouchie.z to scale from self-funded family operation to South Australia's specialist wildlife service.

Pouchie.z serves South Australia’s wildlife and communities through four connected areas of work: 24/7 emergency rescue, specialist macropod sanctuary care, habitat restoration, and conservation education.

Joey Rehabilitation & Lifelong Sanctuary

Orphaned joeys and unreleasable macropods receive specialist rehabilitation and, where needed, lifelong sanctuary as required under South Australian law. On our 87‑acre property, we operate climate‑controlled critical care spaces, enriched joey runs, and permanent compounds, with plans to expand from 4 acres of macropod habitats to more than 20 acres. Partners help fund predator‑proof fencing, enclosure materials, climate control, joey nutrition, and veterinary equipment—turning rescues into thriving adult residents.

Long‑term wildlife recovery depends on healthy habitat and informed communities. Pouchie.z is regenerating 87 acres of native vegetation, improving fire safety, and building wildlife‑friendly infrastructure. We also provide education for schools, community groups, and volunteers on wildlife protection, responsible interaction and ethical rescue. Partner funding restores native plants, builds safe infrastructure, and supports educational resources and training that multiply conservation impact across South Australia.

Since 2021, Pouchie.z has operated a 24/7 wildlife rescue hotline responding to around 100 calls each year across South Australia for injured and orphaned native wildlife. We provide immediate assessment and triage for all species—macropods, birds, reptiles, and more—then transport animals to appropriate carers or into specialist joey care. Partner support funds emergency equipment, veterinary consumables, fuel, and hotline infrastructure so every call receives expert, compassionate help, especially in rural service gaps.
