Pouchie.z Kangaroo Sanctuary runs a 24/7 rescue service dedicated to promptly assisting injured kangaroos in distressed and orphaned kangaroo joeys. Driven by my passion, I promptly respond to rescue calls, offering emergency care, rehabilitation, and a permanent home here at the sanctuary. This vital service addresses the urgent needs of these vulnerable creatures, providing them a lifeline for survival and a secure haven for their future.

Rehabilitation

Once rescued, orphaned kangaroo joeys undergo a comprehensive rehabilitation process at Pouchie.z Kangaroo Sanctuary. This involves vetanairy assessment, specialised care, nutrition, and medical attention tailored to their individual needs. Our rehabilitation efforts focus on nurturing their physical and emotional well-being, helping them recover from any trauma experienced before coming in to the sanctuary. The goal is to nurture these joeys for a successful transition into our natural, enriched environment, here at the sanctuary, where they can exhibit their natural behaviours and thrive free from harm in a forever loving home.

Pouchie.z Kangaroo Sanctuary is committed to offering a permanent haven for rescued kangaroo joeys, recognizing the challenges they face in the wild. In alignment with South Australia regulations, our dedication centers on ensuring the long-term welfare of these orphaned joeys. Through our "forever home" pledge, we provide a secure and naturally enriched environment on our expansive 87-acre property. Here, each joey can experience its full natural lifespan of 20 years, fostering a profound bond between them and the sanctuary. This underscores our unwavering commitment to delivering a unique sanctuary experience that prioritizes their well-being and flourishing futures.
